Scope

This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data of CARE members and visitors to our CARE pages hosted on third-party platforms (e.g., Kajabi).

What we collect

Account & contact: name, email, country/region, profile details.
Transaction: plan purchased, billing country, last 4 digits/expiry (from processor), payment status (no full card numbers stored by us).
Usage: course progress, completions, certificates, forum activity, support requests, IP address, device/browser info, events attended, recordings.
Marketing preferences: newsletter opt-ins, unsubscribes.
Technical data: cookies, approximate location/timezone, referral source, session metadata.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data.

Data Sources

Directly from you (forms, checkout, support, forums).
Automatically via the platform (cookies, analytics).
From processors involved in payment, email, forms, video, and events.

How we use data

Provide the Service (create accounts, deliver content, issue certificates, support): contract necessity.
Payments & fraud prevention: contract necessity, legitimate interests.
Community safety & moderation: legitimate interests.
Analytics and service improvement: legitimate interests (to understand usage and improve quality).
Marketing communications (email/newsletters): consent where required; otherwise legitimate interests.
Compliance & enforcement: legal obligations, legitimate interests.

Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, and—if enabled—marketing/retargeting. In regions requiring consent, you may see a banner to accept or manage categories and can adjust preferences at any time (instructions provided in the footer or by contacting us).

“Do Not Sell or Share” (California)

We do not sell personal information for money. We may “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (e.g., Meta ad services). California residents can opt out by emailing [email protected] with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share”.

Processors & third parties

We use service providers under contract who process data on our behalf, including: Kajabi (platform/hosting), Stripe and PayPal (payments), Zoom (events), Vimeo (video), Typeform (forms), Simplero (legacy registrations), One.com (domain/hosting services), and advertising/analytics partners (e.g., Meta, platform analytics). These providers receive only what is needed to perform their services and must protect your data.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including accounting and legal requirements. Typical retention includes:

Account and transaction records: for legal/tax periods.
Course/ certificate records: while you have an account and for a reasonable period thereafter.
Forum content and event recordings: while needed for the Service or unless you request removal (subject to legal/operational limits).

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No system is 100% secure; you are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.

Marketing choices

You can change email preferences at any time using unsubscribe links or by contacting us. Service/transactional emails are still sent as needed.

Community visibility & recordings

Forum posts are visible to other members. Your name and/or avatar will be displayed. Keep identifying information to a minimum if you would like to ensure privacy.
Live sessions may be recorded. Your name, audio, video, or chat may appear in replays available to members. See “Use of Recordings” in the Terms for opt-out requests.

Third-party links

Our pages may link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date.
